Vertical Space

BuildR uses vertical space data to create links between floorplans. These links would allow building occupants to travel between the floors. The vertical space data is held at the volume level. Vertical spaces start at a defined volume floor and will ascend a specified number of floors upward.

These spaces will interact with the floorplan generation to create openings between the floors.

There are three kinds of vertical space.

Openings are just void space to open up floors. This could be used if you wanted to add custom elements between floors. Or it could be used to create an atrium or mezzanine.

Elevator Shafts will generate the walls and door openings for the implementation of an elevator system in the building.

Stairwells generate walls, doors and a flight of stairs between floors.
